We talked about how we can use our hands to "see" things. We played a matching game where each child felt and looked at a small objet and then had to find the same objet in a bag. For a craft we coloured sandpaper leaves.

We tried to get dressed while being blindfolded. This led to a great discussion on what it must be like to be blind and how you would have to use your other senses.

I had jars of various scents. We took turns smelling the jar and then tried to identify the smell.

We played a game where I hid an alarm in the classroom and everyone took turns trying to find out where it was hidden.
We talked about popcorn and the fact that we could use all of our senses to figure out what it was. We discussed what made popcorn pop how far it might pop if it was left uncovered. To test their theories each child cut out a paper popcorn and placed it where they thought the popcorn would land...I wish I could have recorded their squeals, they were priceless!! We had a lot of popcorn so of course we had some for snack and we played a relay game outside where we had to try and fill an empty bowl with popcorn.
