I have to say it again, I LOVE kids books. Love them! I spend time carefully choosing books for themes and activities. Preschoolers always love story time too. Some books they would read again and again if they could. With the help of Pinterest (my new best friend!) I found some wonderful activities to go with some books. I tried to pick out books that were new to me too. The first book we looked at was Little Blue and Little Yellow by Leo Lionni. This story is about a blue spot and a yellow spot that get mixed up together and when they return to their families they have turned green. So we decided to test this theory and see if that is indeed what happens when blue and yellow mix. We have a little blue paint and a little yellow paint and a marble to help mix things up. I see some green!! Wow! That's a lot of green! Isn't it beautiful?! It's true, blue and yellow do make green.

![]() We use snow a lot in our room during the winter. There is something exciting about playing with snow inside, it's as if it's forbidden. So it is very strange to use it as a canvas to paint on but the finished product is beautiful! I use watered down paint because it's easier to spread and it soaks into the snow making it easier to mix the colors. The colors are so vibrant against the white snow. For some, it's about trying all the colors. And then mixing them all together! When all is said and done, it makes for a beautiful work of art.
